Justin Wisniewski Scouts Scholarship

Due to an overwhelming success in the previous years, in 2010 the Scholarship Board of Directors voted to give out an additional Scholarship.  The "Justin Wisniewski Scouts Scholarship" will be given to a Southington High School Senior that has earned either the "Life Rank" in Boy Scouts of America or the "Silver Rank" in Girl Scouts of America.

Please see the application below.  If you are qualified for this scholarship, please fill the application out in it's entirety and submit it by the due date listed by the Southington High School Guidance Department.

JUSTIN WISNIEWSKI FIREFIGHTERS' SCHOLARSHIP

These will be education scholarships to benefit the families of firefighters. The Fund will support at least two $500 Firefighters Scholarships.

To be eligible to apply for the Scholarship you must be either:  a Firefighter, or the spouse, child or sibling of a firefighter.

Scholarship A will be awarded to an eligible applicant from the Southington Fire Department.

Scholarship B will be awarded to an eligible applicant from any Fire Department in the State of Connecticut.

The basis of the scholarship is defined by volunteerism. Because of the nature of Justin's life, everything was volunteering, whether it was for the Fire Department, the Lions Club, the Boy Scouts, Church or helping his friends and family. This is a rare trait and needs to be acknowledged.
